There have been three double blind placebo controlled randomized clinical trials demonstrating that this formulation is effective. We are currently conducting a fourth double blind placebo controlled trial as we believe the increase in leucine in our formula will further enhance outcomes.

Joint Replacement is a powder mixed with water, juice, your favorite smoothie or added to food like yogurt. For optimal taste and maximum absorption of nutrients we recommend blending into a smoothie. There are a number of smoothie recipes provided on our website.
Joint Replacement contains only well-studied, well-tolerated nutrients that are safe and may be taken before and after surgery. It is always advisable to check with your doctor before taking any dietary supplements. If your surgeon is unaware of Joint Replacement, please contact us (info@mend.me) for a brochure that you can print and take to his/her office. Your surgeon will be interested in the clinical studies, which can be found in the Clinical Research section of this site and which we are happy to email to you for easy sharing with your surgeon.†
Clinical studies show that you should ideally start taking Joint Replacement at least 1 week prior to surgery and continue for 6 weeks post surgery. Benefits have been seen in as little as 2 weeks post surgery. For maximum long-term results, we recommend taking Joint Replacement during this acute phase and switching to Regenerate for on-going nutritional support.
It is recommended to take 1 scoops per serving, 2 times per day.
There are 21 servings per bottle. Two bottles are needed for the recommended minimum 3 week course (1 week prior to surgery and 2 weeks post).
It is not advised to take Joint Replacement for longer than our recommended period as there have been no studies performed on long-term use. If you’re looking for a product to take daily after your recovery to preserve or add lean muscle mass and for general wellness, we would recommend our award winning product MEND Regenerate
The flavor is Orange Mango. We chose this flavor to mask some of the bitter profile of amino acids, which are difficult to mask. We believe you’ll enjoy the taste even with water alone and certainly when mixed with juice or blended with a smoothie. For convenience many clients just add it to juice.

The essential amino acids in Joint Replacement are safe and there are no contraindications or harmful side effects. Occasionally people with sensitive stomachs may experience some initial gas or slight irritability. This should subside as your stomach adjusts to the amino acids. If you do experience any irritation, you can simply dilute with additional juice or water, this usually resolves the issue.
